Make the sentences academically respectable and defensible.

1. Attractive people may have more favorable personal attributes than unattractive people.

2. Apparently, econmic sanctions may be inefflective.

3. Some of the evidence shows that alcohol could cause people to become violent.

4. It quite certain that passice smoking leads to cancer.

5. It appear that recycling may be the best soultion to the waste disposal problem.

6. It has been suggested that physical exercise could prevent depression.

7. Certainly, deep tunnels may be safer and less vulnerable to earthquake shaking than are shallow tunnels.

8. Private schools probably could provide a better eduction than do public schools.

I think you can change "cause" to weaker word, like "lead to" or "result" etc.
